The primary focus of our strategic plan for 2008 will be "The Youth Community." A task force headed by Helen Burton, Leonard Long, and David Robison will begin the effort by developing a formatted footprint for this effort.
Our Standing Committees will continue their mission as defined:
The SanKofa Mentoring Program will be introduced into the Chapter, where new and interested members will be embraced by a veteran member to work with and grow within the ideas and spirit of the national organization.
The Dallas Chapter will host a National Steering Committee Meeting within the administration of the national president.
The Dallas Chapter will continue to garner national recognition helping to host a National Press Conference during the National Conference in L.A. on a National's Voter's Registration effort.
The Dallas Chapter will be a co-sponsor for the State-Wide Black-Brown Summit in Austin, Texas this spring, hosted by State Senators West and Ellis.
